THE SOLUTION

I have finally figured out the solution to the Jaguars problems.
We keep MJD, POT ROAST, KAMPMAN, MIKE THOMAS and maybe SIMMS-WALKER and cut everyone else.
We fire all the coaches and hire ANY out of work coaches and let them elect one of their own as head coach.

My solution came about when I noticed how no name players out of work seem to come in and play real hard and do well. These kind of guys are journeymen and having been out of work know they want to keep a job.
They don't care about the glory or the press clippings, they just want a job.

Too many of the Jaguar players are like a lot of players in the NFL they have too much money and they think that just by showing up they will somehow win the game and become a star.

Football players need to go back in time ....to old school play for the love of the game and feed their families.

Do you remember the Replacement Players that came in during the last Players strike? Well they were a bunch of no name guys that wanted a job and they helped the Redskins to win a Super Bowl.

SO DO I KNOW WHAT  I'M TALKING ABOUT OR NOT?

SCRUTINIZING THE JAGUARS

THIS IS THE BRAIN OF THE JAGUARS TEAM
JUST LIKE THIS LADY WE INTEND TO SCRUTINIZE IT TO FIND OUT WHY IT DOESN'T WORK.

The front of the brain seems normal but smallish like the rest of the brain. In the front we find the gray matter to be made up of coaching input. It seems normal enough but the lines are not deep which normally tells us that discipline is light.
Now the right side of the brain is the passion for the game comes from and it is smaller in the central part that makes us think that part of the brain has no passion for the game.
Now the left half of the brain is very deformed and this usually tells us that there is a division of thought. One part thinks this is what should happen and the other part thinks the opposite therefore causing what we call "scatter brained".
Now in the central part is the ability (some times called talent) center and although it appears to be normal it has not been stimulated enough and used enough to see it grow.

Now in layman's terms.
The input from coaches has not been clear and ofter confusing.
The passion for the game has to come from within like it does with MJD and others, this passion can also be inhibited by the wrong signals coming from the coaching staff.
The central part of the brain is the hardest to understand. Here we know we have talent but a lot of talent has not been developed. Talent ? what is it? People have said if we had more talent everything would be ok..oh yeah what about the talented Cowboys? HUH?
Maybe you won't believe me but the Jags have a lot in common with the Cowboys. No matter what
YOU HAVE TO PLAY AS A TEAM!  It's just like the whole brain working as one. The Cowboys wait for their Stars to make the plays and the Jaguars don't trust each other and each guy thinks he has to make the plays. Talent is over rated man. Team work is the ultimate. JUST DO YOUR JOB MAN. STAY IN YOU LANE GO WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO GO WITH YOUR READ. SIMPLE ISN'T IT?

WEARY

Nothing to say, no suggestions, no feelings. I am weary of this team and will not even watch their game against the Cowboys next week.
There is no way the Jags can win and I can not stand to see Dallas win. My day is only complete when the Cowboys lose.
So for the Jaguars to lose that's bad enough but then for the Cowboys to win that's a double hit I just can't take.
It's been too long for us fans that sit there in the stadium every week and be abused by this group of non players.
I really don't even want to go to the next couple of home games.
I HAVE LOST ALL HOPE FOR THIS BUNCH

IS IT A SIGN?

Jags are bringing in Patrick Ramsey to save the day. Get him up to speed before the Dallas game and we will win that game.....you heard it here first.
DO YOU THINK THE JAGS ARE FOLLOWING MY BLOG? NO ONE ELSE HAS MENTIONED HIM FOR QB EXCEPT FOR ME.....YOU THINK?
remember my post asking for the Jags to get him?

Oh and one more thing.......Ramsey is a SOUTHPAW...remember we had a LEFTY once and he was very good for the Jaguars and oh yeah wasn't there another left handed QB in the draft this year?
Maybe the front office got off track when they drafted LEFTwich thinking he was left handed? Maybe Let's just hope.
IS IT A SIGN?

BODY BAG GAME?

I now understand that both QB's are out and they are bringing back egg head sit on the sofa Bouman. This was a horrible game last night but I remember one that was far worse. In 1990 in Nov on a Monday Night game the Eagles knocked out 8 Redskins players and Brian Mitchell had to play QB.

Now we didn't get that many guys hurt but if you count the early departures of fans and the fans who had their hopes dashed again by this crew of notplayers it was still a big mess. At least the Skins had a good reason for losing. What reason did we have?

WHAT IS THAT SMELL?

ONCE AGAIN AFTER FEASTING, ON A BUFFALO, THE JAGUAR HAD NO APPETITE FOR RACCOON the mascot of the Titans
Now I don't know about animal behavior or their eating habits, but I've been told that if a Jaguar eats well it will rest and not eat again for quite a while. I have also been told that during this period of digestion the Jaguar will have a lot of gas and may stink up the whole area where it is resting. Something sure stunk up Everbank Field Monday Night. I think the Jaguars need to be put on a lighter diet. The two next opponents are not a good choice. One is a whole city and the other one is a group of about 50 cowboys.

SOMETHING NEW

Since the last time the Titans have been here in JAX there has been something new added. TITANS BEWARE!
TEAM TEAL HAS CREATED A MONSTER and we intend to let him lose on Monday Night Football for the whole world to see.
TEAM TEAL MONSTER
He is scary and made up of hungry fans who want to destroy the Titans. Sometimes he will run the ball sometimes he will intercept the ball and you will feel his presence everywhere.

WIN / LOSE / LOGICAL / EMOTIONAL

OK so here is how I think and feel. It was a great day today for two reasons. Reason number one the JAGUARS WON.  Reason no. 2 the COWBOYS LOST.  I know , I know because the Titans are on our division I am suppose to hope the Cosboys win. OH NO never even though it makes sense in my mind I can't help it. I hate the Cowboys. To explain this is easy. I was a Redskins fan for 33 years while I lived in the D,C. area. Sure it makes sense for the Titans to lose but not to the Cowboys......I don't want anyone to lose to the Cowboys and I can't change that.

I'm happy our Jaguars won and I'm going to take it easy on their game plan ....no I'm not. I have to say they go run up the middle too much. I have been saying this forever even when Tom C. was coach. They run this play way to often. I wish I could count the plays that go for 1 yard up the gut. Maybe if someone would pay me I would keep track. I don't care what their reason is for this play, the fact is it is a wasted play. I don't believe in wasting plays. Honestly now, don't tell me it sets up something else. Don't even try to say that. It's a wasted play and if they do it 7 times a game ....that's 7 wasted plays. Someone some place can put that into an equation that would show the percentage of bad plays and this would have to be added to that since it is only a yard gain most of the time. That's not all , too many plays are in the middle of the defense. The defense plays us that way

They Jags offense collapses into an inverted V so the defense has only a small area to attack. The reason the Jags were more effective agains the Colts was because they rolled out and showed option type  plays which spreads the field.  Get it?  Want to catch a rabbit? Chase him into a dead end trap. Try to catch a snake the same way...he slithers away to the left or right.. One man can catch a rabbit but it takes 3 or more to catch a snake. JACK AM I GETTING THROUGH TO YOU MAN?

DAVID GARRARD'S WIFE GETS INTO THE EAR OF THE COACHES?
GUS JOHNSON of  CBS SPORTS
In my last post I told of how friends tried to give me credit for getting the Jags to use David the way he should be used. Rollouts, options, and just plain running plays. I said that someone closer must have gotten into their ear. Well it turns out that according to Gus Johnson the play by play guy on CBS today it was Mrs. Garrard who told David and the coaches (not sure on this) that to LET DAVID BE DAVID and stop trying to win games from the pocket. She said David is a good runner and he should roll out more and option more. NOW WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE?

Can anyone verify this story....the whole story? Gus said something about some laughing at thie suggestion too. I get back to you if I hear any more on this. INTERESTING .  How do I email Johnson

The silo is not Mrs. Garrard..just to represent the story. I couldn't find a photo of her.

I TOLD YOU SO!

A few of my friends called me to say "It seems as if they finally listen to you about how to use Garrard" . Well we all know better than that. Although I have beat that horse for a long time, at least three years, I imagine that someone else close to the team got their ear. We'll never know, but I doubt if Jack ever looked at this blog.
Anyway look at this highlight....I wish I had the ability to put all his runs last Sunday into one highlight film... I ask you to look at his run and tell me "Is this the run of a normal QB that just caught the defense off guard?" I don't think so he runs like a running back although a little straight up. He can break arm tackles and he can cut etc.

The Jaguars must keep up the plays so they can keep the defense honest. Believe me man no one wants a QB to show them up by running the ball with success. How many times has McNair killed us with the run and now Vince cry baby Young hurts us. Call your game according to the talent you have....they did and that is why they run. Don't call the game with what you think can win....get it? Are you reading this Jack? You don't have to give me credit Jack, just keep doing what I say.

I hope that you realize that a lot of my statements are a little tongue in cheek right?

THANKS FOR NFL REPLAYS

First of all I am glad that the NFL Network show those replay games. I can not see all the plays from my seat in the stadium, nor can anyone else. So the replay gives us a chance to focus in on plays and players like the coaches do. Of course if I was smart I would get a DVR so I could loop back and forth to see all I want. Maybe I'll get one?
Anyway can you believe we made the highlights on NFL.com?
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d81b0e1bc/GameDay-Colts-vs-Jaguars-highlights
I think that they showed it without much bias, which is nice.
Questions:
1. How long have I been saying RUN DAVID RUN ?  Like forever man. Do you think that maybe some where along the line the coaches actually heard me? I doubt if they heard me but I'm sure someone got in their ear.
David ran an option play.....can you believe that after all the times I have suggested this they finally did it?
Will they keep this play threat? I sure hope so because it is a threat and keeps the defense honest.
Recall this posting?
http://jag-wars.blogspot.com/2010/08/run-david-runrun-david-run.html

2. On the short play where Clark scored.  Whey would you let him off the line? They were not in a run set up so cover the TE and forget the OT. You can't let him off the line.  Was this an error by the defensive player or not? I would like to know.

This week I'll be in front of the TV so I will be able to see more. Will I want to see more? That is the question. On the TV sometimes I see too much and turn it off in disgust. I hope this is not the case Sunday.
Which brings me to one more point. I've heard all the excuses of why not to buy season tickets and none of them stand.

"I can see better on TV" Of course stupid everyone can but in order for the games to get on TV we have to sell tickets. Now who will be the unselfish people that will do that? If anyone has an excuse not to buy tickets it's me. I have ARMD (look it up) and have to use binoculars to see the Jumbo Screen. Not complaining just stating a facts, and despite having to use binoculars I really enjoy being there. Man there is nothing like it , especially last week when the whole crowd got into the game and didn't even want to leave at the end. I meet some great folks there and have seen some of the same people for years now.

OK so I got off the track, but "WHATS YOUR EXCUSE BUDDY?  I bet I could bust it. So don't ever tell me "That when they play better I'll buy tickets" You know yourself this is lame at best. Listen to  your own excuse and then be honest. COME ON MAN!

T...E...A...M

After thinking about the WIN yesterday and who to give Kudos to, I thought there were a few stand out players but the was what every team strifes for...A TEAM WIN. Watching some of the interviews in the locker room one man Aaron Kampman was the man to say it was a team victory and I agree. I hope all the other players realize that. Knowing this and feeling this team thing should really help this team to bond and work together.

If you haven't checked me out on facebook then you missed this video recap of the game that I found on the Colt's web site.

YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE

This wasn't even the start of a perfect day. The weather was great. I had a Philly Cheese steak at the Team Teal area. Then into the stadium for free fish, calamari, shrimp samples. The free samples of Green Tea drink. The crowd was friendly and even the Colt fans were nice. Not many of them from Indian. Some of them have never even been there. I can't understand this. People from Panama Beach, FL I talked to said they just liked the Colts. Well maybe after the game they might think about changing their allegiance?

It was especially nice to see the Colt fans leave kind of humble after the way the Eagle fans left last week. Well that was last week and this is this week. Off to Buffalo and hope the Jags keep the motor running. No time to lay down and Purrr.

I expect to have a good Monday Night Game two week from now at Everbank. MNF always brings out a lot of folks.

PEOPLE OF JACKSONVILLE.....YOU SAW A GOOD GAME ON TV ..THANKS TO THE LOYAL SEASON TICKET HOLDERS AND GOOD FANS.......BUT YOU MISSED AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE.

GRRRREAT GAME

If you like football you would have loved to be there today as the Jaguars came to life and beat the Colts 31 to 28. Scobe came through with a 59 yard field goal with only 5 seconds left in the game.

A couple of plays before this the Colts took a time out thinking that the Jags could or would not do anything and would try to settle for a tie and hope that they could do something in OT. Well guess again Colts, we actually did something and it was great plays to get us to the 41 yard line and kick the winning field goal in regulation.

The Jags ran the ball well and ever David ran the ball with a sort of option look. OMG how long have I been begging them to use him this way?  The game could have been over earlier and we could have won it 28 to 21 but the corner back #31 David Jones couldn't hold on to the interception.....Whew that was such a great play but he just couldn't get control of the ball.

More comments tomorrow....I'm too tired right now.

COLTS VS JAGUARS

WHICH JAGUAR WILL SHOW UP TODAY?

This is always the question everyone has. What Jaguar team will show up. Will it be the timid, touch football guys or the aggressive guys that tackle well and play smart and keep the WR's from getting behind them?

We'll just have to wait and see. The Jags I have seen this year are either very aggressive, without a plan, or too timid and thinking too much.

If the Jags win the coin toss and defer to the second half you know that is the end of the game. The Colts will march down field and score and we will be behind and never catch up. What does differing say? It says we have no offense and we need the ball in the second half when we get are warmed up a bit and can maybe then produce a score.

If the Jags accept the to receive after winning the coin toss it maybe a differing day, that is if they pull some plays out of the bag and pass on first down, do option plays and roll out for runs or passes.

FINAL SCORE COLTS 27  JAGUARS 17
