I TOLD YOU SO!
A few of my friends called me to say "It seems as if they finally listen to you about how to use Garrard" . Well we all know better than that. Although I have beat that horse for a long time, at least three years, I imagine that someone else close to the team got their ear. We'll never know, but I doubt if Jack ever looked at this blog.
Anyway look at this highlight....I wish I had the ability to put all his runs last Sunday into one highlight film... I ask you to look at his run and tell me "Is this the run of a normal QB that just caught the defense off guard?" I don't think so he runs like a running back although a little straight up. He can break arm tackles and he can cut etc.

The Jaguars must keep up the plays so they can keep the defense honest. Believe me man no one wants a QB to show them up by running the ball with success. How many times has McNair killed us with the run and now Vince cry baby Young hurts us. Call your game according to the talent you have....they did and that is why they run. Don't call the game with what you think can win....get it? Are you reading this Jack? You don't have to give me credit Jack, just keep doing what I say.
I hope that you realize that a lot of my statements are a little tongue in cheek right?

THANKS FOR NFL REPLAYS
First of all I am glad that the NFL Network show those replay games. I can not see all the plays from my seat in the stadium, nor can anyone else. So the replay gives us a chance to focus in on plays and players like the coaches do. Of course if I was smart I would get a DVR so I could loop back and forth to see all I want. Maybe I'll get one?
Anyway can you believe we made the highlights on NFL.com?

I think that they showed it without much bias, which is nice.
Questions:
1. How long have I been saying RUN DAVID RUN ? Like forever man. Do you think that maybe some where along the line the coaches actually heard me? I doubt if they heard me but I'm sure someone got in their ear.
David ran an option play.....can you believe that after all the times I have suggested this they finally did it?
Will they keep this play threat? I sure hope so because it is a threat and keeps the defense honest.
Recall this posting?

2. On the short play where Clark scored. Whey would you let him off the line? They were not in a run set up so cover the TE and forget the OT. You can't let him off the line. Was this an error by the defensive player or not? I would like to know.
This week I'll be in front of the TV so I will be able to see more. Will I want to see more? That is the question. On the TV sometimes I see too much and turn it off in disgust. I hope this is not the case Sunday.
Which brings me to one more point. I've heard all the excuses of why not to buy season tickets and none of them stand.
"I can see better on TV" Of course stupid everyone can but in order for the games to get on TV we have to sell tickets. Now who will be the unselfish people that will do that? If anyone has an excuse not to buy tickets it's me. I have ARMD (look it up) and have to use binoculars to see the Jumbo Screen. Not complaining just stating a facts, and despite having to use binoculars I really enjoy being there. Man there is nothing like it , especially last week when the whole crowd got into the game and didn't even want to leave at the end. I meet some great folks there and have seen some of the same people for years now.
OK so I got off the track, but "WHATS YOUR EXCUSE BUDDY? I bet I could bust it. So don't ever tell me "That when they play better I'll buy tickets" You know yourself this is lame at best. Listen to your own excuse and then be honest. COME ON MAN!

GAME PLAN
When I first started this blog the idea was to give my "battle" plan for the Jaguars to win the game. That's why I called it jag-wars. I thought this team would fight in every game as if they were in a war. Well things haven't worked out like that and I have to go to plan B and the Jags should also go to plan B but I'm not sure they have one.
My plan B is just to keep saying how I would do things different then what has become predictable from the Jags.
Here are a few points.
The Jags regularly say they want, or have to get off to a fast start.
If this is so then why do they differ when they win the coin toss?
This is contradictory to getting off to a fast start.....how do you get off to a fast start on defense? Think about this also, does this show confidence in your team? NO
This is just one item I wish they would try and I see no reason why they don't except that maybe they have no imagination?
Later I'll have some more brilliant plans that will just live and die here on this page....but they are brilliant if I must say so myself....and I do.
Later more brilliance from me.
My plan B. If we win the coin toss choose to receive the ball and have some of your best short and long passing plays ready to go and go on a fast count no huddle offense. Doesn't this make sense to you? For sure there is not a team out there that would be ready for the conservative Jags to have this kind of plan.

RUN DAVID RUN.....RUN DAVID RUN....

After watching the scrimmage last night at Everbank Field I was more convinced than ever that David is too slow to throw and too slow to run. The safe bet in that case is to run. RUN DAVID RUN....RUN DAVID RUN.....RUN DAVID RUN....Maybe they can plug this in to hie ear piece or maybe it can get stuck in his head like a song. I'll be chanting this from the third row so maybe he will hear and it will activate his feet?
I'm trying to make my case that David Garrard should run the ball more to take some pressure off the rush. Below is an article from New England coach Bill Belichich.
"Oh, my God, yeah," coach Bill Belichick said. "I'd say he's probably the best runner we've seen this year. Because he can run, but he can also break tackles and cut back and avoid people. He's tough to bring down in the pocket; a lot of people bounce off him. He's like a sixth receiver for them. On third down, you've really got to account for him." Click on link below to read the full article.
I know that they do have some designed plays for him, but he is going to do the best when he decides on his own to run. He is slow to decide to throw and he is slow to run. Somehow they should encourage him to run more. He is an excellent runner.
Join me in the battle cry "RUN DAVID RUN....RUN DAVID RUN.....
If it does nothing else it may put the defense to rush with caution? maybe ?
