WIN NOW OR PLAN AHEAD

TALK ABOUT EMPTY SEATS!
It will take the Jaguars to pull off a miracle to put people in the seats next year. From what I see they are not planning ahead. EVERYONE with any brains knows that Garrard and maybe Jack will be gone next season. So who is going to be the QB? Certainly it won't be Todd Bouman, he'll be back in MN watching the NFL Ticket like he was this year.
Maybe now it looks like drafting Tabow would've bee a good idea because at least we would have a prospect in waiting. What do we have now? NOTHING MAN. Why didn't the Jags take a couple of days to find a backup QB there are some out there that could possibly be a starter. Patrick Ramsey for one. Instead they go to someone ,(Who knows the system)???? What system? We try to run the ball off tackle or up the middle and we try to throw the ball 2 or 3 yards short of the first down marker. We don't have a system. That's why everyone can stop us. We are about as complicated as a bad high school team.

Planning ahead.....what do you see for next year? I see a bankrupt team devoid of any future stars. I think this must be the Jaguars 10 year plan and we are now at year 5. In about 3 more years we will finally have a QB that is very good and we will start building a line again to protect him and by the year 2016 we will have a serious contender, but will the team be here in JAX?

If I'm wrong you show me where this team show promise in the next two years. I DON'T SEE ANY PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE. IF THE PLAN INCLUDES GARRARD THEN I WILL ASK FOR A REFUND ON MY SEASSON TICKETS FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS.

If Garrard was coached right the NFL Network would be talking about the dangers or Garrard not Vick.

BACK-UP QB

SO THE JAGS RESIGN TODD BOUMAN AS BACK-UP FOR GARRARD. WHY DIDN'T THEY SIGN PATRICK RAMSEY AT LEAST HE LOOKS LIKE A FOOTBALL PLAYER AND HE DID PRETTY GOOD WITH THE SKINS FOR AWHILE. .......MAYBE THEY WANTED TO SAVE MONEY SINCE WITH TODD ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS PAINT HIS HEAD LIKE A HELMET.
HELMETS COST MONEY YOU KNOW.
A ALWAYS BE A BACK-UP ...OR ...A GUY WHO HAD A LOT OF STARTS.
SOMETIMES I THINK THE JAGS DON'T THINK THEY JUST KNEE JERK AND THEN GO TO LUNCH....AND THERE'S NOT EVEN A GOOD PLACE TO EAT IN JAX.

WING T OFFENSE?

OK here it is two days out from our loss in San Diego and I’m working hard on plays and schemes for the Jaguars Offense. A couple of people on Jaguars.com are agreeing with me but I really need to get the attention of the coaching staff.
So listen up Jack!
I have been talking and talking about using Garrard’s ability to run the ball as a way to slow down the rush and also make the 8 in the box go away.
The solution is sort of like an option QB position, but with a lot of motion by the FB,HB and TB or slot man. This is how I see it.
With the Wing T formation it would work like this MJD as the HB and Greg Jones as the FB and Mike Thomas as the TB/ Slot man and Garrard as the QB of course. With motion there will be no give away as to who will get the ball.
The QB turns toward the man in motion and then instead of handing off the QB runs it instead. Everyone will be closer to the line exept maybe the slot guy. The Jags can not take the time for the QB to go back and meet the runner and hand the ball off, You have all seen what happens with this play....we get stuffed. There is too much time for the defense to break into the line and stop the runner. Quick opening plays will work. I think I understand why the Jags take so much time at the line of scrimmage, and that is to eat up time? Or to make sure no one jumps? Anyway we use this way too much of the time.
Fans in the stands know what play is coming.....DOES THAT TELL YOU SOMETHING?
Here’s a drawing of the Wing T can’t you see some plays from this that will work and make David a more productive QB

ANY DOUBTS THAT HE CAN RUN?

KUDOS

Now that I have blown off some steam in my last post and it's been 24 hours since our loss, I want to give some credit to some players. I really did see some bright spots that give me hope.
I'm sorry to say the #9 D. Garrard is not one of them.
First of all on Offense
#11 M. Simms Walker stepped up good with ten catches.
#19 T, Underwood looked to be improving.
#23 R. Jennings is looking good and ran strong.
#89 M. Lewis is going to be a star, it's taken some time but he is really coming on.
So that is 4 out of 11 on Offense that played good that's like only a third. Notice there wasn't any
O Linemen on the list and that's because there was no protection and we couldn't run the ball.

Now for the Defense
#36 C. Greene Outstanding that's why R. Nelson could go to the Bengals.
#74 A. Kampamn his motor is always running.
#31 D. Jones I have to see more but he played better than #21 D. Cox
I'm sorry but that's all the players I can remember playing hard.

I was sorry to see QB #12 get hurt and out for the season. I had hopes he would be the next starter. He led all QB's in the NFL Pre-season stats.

It's going to be interesting who we pick-up for the back-up QB. Maybe Leftwich? ha ha

OK let's go and clip some Eagles wings and cook them up southern style.

Let the New Cannon Roar......and by the way put a live round in it and shoot the know nothing announcer.

WEST COAST JOKE

BIG CAT LAY DOWN

Once again we are the laughing stock of the west. No wonder no one talks about the Jags. Who wants to talk about a bunch of losers?
I was impressed with the effort in the first half, they looked like they were fighting hard, but once again when it got out of reach they quit.
I'm still concerned about MJD and the running game. Like a lot of teams they don't take Garrard serious so they just tee off on him, knowing he can't pass the ball.

Where was some runs by Garrard.....oh OK I'm tired of asking for it or mentioning it.
RUN DAVID RUN ......WILL NEVER HAPPEN....ROLL OUT PASSES WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

GOOD BYE DIRK...OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR......FIRE HIM NOW DEL RIO IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR JOB. GO TO A WHOLE NEW SCHEME EVEN AT THIS LATE DATE.

Jennings looked good....use him more...also 2 blocked kicks.

ONCE AGAIN MAYBE I SHOULD CANCEL MY 2ND AND 3RD SEASON TICKETS.

IT HURTS TOO MUCH TO WATCH THIS TEAM I CAN GET NFL PACKAGE AND STAY HOME AND WATCH SOME GOOD FOOTBALL TEAMS.

Luke had his chance to maybe win the starting job....but he lost his control and threw too high.

THESE MILLIOARE PLAYERS CAN PUT THIS BEHIND THEM TOO EASY.....FOR US FANS IT'S LIFE AND DEATH. IF THEY FELT LIKE THE FANS THEY WOULD PLAY BETTER......CHALLENGE THIS IF YOU CAN, BUT I REALLY BELIEVE THAT THEY DON'T REALLY CARE WIN OR LOSE.....PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE..

NO DEEP THREAT

The Jaguars offense will look very much the same as last year. Again they have no deep threat so teams will defend against the run and short passes which is all we can do.
Our only chance is for "Butterfingers" Underwood to catch some passes otherwise with Troy Williamson "Lard Hands" there is no other deep threat and if there was Garrard couldn't get it down field anyway.
We'll see a lot of 8 in the box and a lot of 1 and 2 yard runs. I would like to see the stats for the Jaguars on first down. It seems to me there are a lot of 1 yard or loss of 1 yard on first down. Why do they continue to try to run this play? I am so tired of seeing it and it makes for a depressed feeling. I imagine the players at this point are saying to themselves; " Here we go again, no gain and a wasted down."
Mark my word the first play on opening day will be MJD up the middle for 1 yard. They can say all they want about having to try this play, but until they stop being so predictable it will continue to be a wasted play. The Jags have to change their tendencies because everyone knows them and not changing them is to ask for the same results.
My prediction for the Jags this season is an 8/8 season and miss the play-offs. We will be lucky to go 4 / 4 in division and the remaining 8 games we will also split.
I haven't seen anything during camp and preseason to think anything better than 5o% wins record.

NEXT WEEK WILL TELL

Well folks it wasn't much of a game last night, but a win anyway. I think that preseason games are getting worse and worse as far as intensity or passion. I'm starting to think like a lot of others that they should get rid of these games and play only games that mean something.
Fans live and die with every game but the coaches and most players don't. I don't care what anyone says I can not understand playing a game and not playing to win. This kind of attitude trickles down from coaches to players and I don't know how or if players can turn it on or off at will.
Well they better turn something on next Sunday, because it is for real then.
Brock Bolen was the best thing I saw. He looked like John Riggins to me. I think that means that Greg Jones is going bye bye.
Fans get ready to scream and yell and drown out the signals of the Broncos. The NORTH END ZONE sure shook up the offense of the Falcons last night. NORTH END ZONE RULES MAN!
I think the south end zone is drinking too much beer or something. They are no match for the SUPER FANS OF THE NORTH END ZONE. We are the 12th man and everyone knows it. The other areas of the stadium can try to show us up, we welcome it.....but you better bring your lunch.
