NO DEEP THREAT

The Jaguars offense will look very much the same as last year. Again they have no deep threat so teams will defend against the run and short passes which is all we can do.
Our only chance is for "Butterfingers" Underwood to catch some passes otherwise with Troy Williamson "Lard Hands" there is no other deep threat and if there was Garrard couldn't get it down field anyway.
We'll see a lot of 8 in the box and a lot of 1 and 2 yard runs. I would like to see the stats for the Jaguars on first down. It seems to me there are a lot of 1 yard or loss of 1 yard on first down. Why do they continue to try to run this play? I am so tired of seeing it and it makes for a depressed feeling. I imagine the players at this point are saying to themselves; " Here we go again, no gain and a wasted down."
Mark my word the first play on opening day will be MJD up the middle for 1 yard. They can say all they want about having to try this play, but until they stop being so predictable it will continue to be a wasted play. The Jags have to change their tendencies because everyone knows them and not changing them is to ask for the same results.
My prediction for the Jags this season is an 8/8 season and miss the play-offs. We will be lucky to go 4 / 4 in division and the remaining 8 games we will also split.
I haven't seen anything during camp and preseason to think anything better than 5o% wins record.
