I'M NOT USUALLY INTO STATS BUT FOX SPORTS HAS SOME EASY TO READ STUFF.

Click on the link and check it out. The first stat is on the image above which ranks us at 31st in the league. You mean there is some team worse than us?  Check out the salaries of teams. I was surprised to find the Jags at #9, so I guess money doesn't equate to ranking.  I was also interested in running attempts and yards and found Gabbert to have a better average and yards than Jennings. WOW how can this be> Do they count yards running away from the rush? 

As you may have noticed I changed the TITLE of the blog to read JaxJags instead of JAG WARS. I have always hoped our games would be more like wars, but as it turns out it's more like a DEBARE. 

Oh well wait till next year......BTW I have 4 season ticket: Any buyers out there?

HOME GAME?

I have always wondered what it is like to go to an away game and be surrounded by the opposing teams fans. Well now I know and I didn't have to go away. I felt like that yesterday at Everbank Field. When shad Kahn owner of the Jaguars said that the Jaguars would be the hottest ticket around, I didn't think he meant that the fans from other cities would be the ones grabbing up the tickets. But why not? Take a nice week-end trip to Florida, go to the beach, maybe go fishing and then go watch your team beat the heck out of the Jaguars. 

This has been happening for quite some time now and I know that I commented on it before. the stands are filled with fans from the other team. It's started with Jeff Fisher when he stated that this was his other home game place. I've often thought that maybe the folks of Jax would rise up and buy seats so they foreign invaders couldn't buy seats...but NO no one is interested. 

Yesterday was the most interesting and revealing game. Usually you hear a roar and you think the home team scored right? Not yesterday when there was a big ROAR you knew the the Bears scored again. Honestly folks have you ever been in a Home Field were the vising teams fans are louder and more involved in the game? This was the worst time for me and others. It has happened before but not to this extreme. As for the Bears fans, which I was one back in 64-66 they were not insulting or such like Colts fans. Being an older franchise the Bears  have been through tough times so they know what it feels like. 

This is the second time in my 13 years as a season ticket holder that I left early in the 4th quarter. I couldn't take anymore. I have supported this team for a long time and the last 5 years has really been painful to say the least. MJD sort of said the same after the game. He was at a loss for words.  What could he say that hasn't been said? 

I agree with MJD that the answer is not with different players. Who would we get aside from a new QB and right now there is no quarterback out there for the taking. Besides we have tried that before. If I had one answer it would be that they are not playing as a team. this has to be the difference and if it isn't then I don't know where to go from there. This is up to the coach. The coach is the one who has to be able to get the team to play as a team. Execute is a term that is over used yet it is the secret. I don't believe it is you just do your job, but you (as linemen) or you (as defense) do your job.

 In the last few years we had MJD at least and now we don't have him, or at least not the real him.

I'M RETHINKING THE NAME OF THIS BLOG. WARS IS NOT APPROPRIATE.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT SUNDAY ?

More of the same? YES !

Sorry but no hype no hope. You can't expect this team to turn around in one week let alone this season. 

I'll see you in the parking lot during the 3rd quarter again.

PASS IT ON

 Everyone knows this is a passing league so.......I say the Jags should practice passing to the extreme. One, two even three days of nothing but passing reps for both offense and defense. Over and over again without ever running the ball. West coast style. KISS keep it simple stupid. Pass for one yard pass for 2 yards, pass for 5, then 10 and so on. If Gabberts' arm gets tired put in the next guy and continue on. Pass to the backs pass to the TE's pass to the WRs pass to yourself just pass the ball.

Glfers practice all the time. They strive to get muscle memory, so when they need to hit it long or short they have the ability. Pro Golfers may hit 100 or 200 balls a day. 

So pass long pass short pass the out route pass the deep post pass until you pass out. Gabbert needs reps and more reps. He doesn't need to learn plays just pass the darn ball. I would be ok if they never ran the ball for a whole game and just maybe the fans would have fun. forget about running the ball. Look at Green Bay,or most of the winning teams around. Look at NE, Pass first is the name of this game now-s-days. 

No one respects the Jags passing game and that has to change. If it doesn't change then we are doomed to the role of LOSER.  I don't care if MJD gets only 4 yards a game as long as we win.
